Provider Spotlight: Amanda Case

Source: uoflhealth.org

UofL Health – Peace Hospital is one of the largest psychiatric facilities in the nation, offering a full continuum of behavioral health and substance use services. As part of this mission-driven team, Amanda Case helps adults with severe mental illness and substance use disorders manage complex needs during their hospital stay and as they transition back into the community.

From connecting patients to housing and employment support to coordinating step-down services like outpatient treatment or sober living, Amanda works to ensure each person has a plan that supports long-term recovery. She also partners with Wayspring to identify members who may benefit from continued support, a collaboration that helps ease the demands of her caseload.

“A patient-centered focus is what sets us apart,” Amanda says. “Our doctors are genuine and kind, and our treatment teams are detailed and thorough. We set patients up for success, no matter what they need.”

Her advice to others in the field:

“Never lose your fire. Never lose your light. We have to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others.”
